ACA 003

Our signature event, the monthly Breakfast Club Rally, will always be free and open to all makes. This is something a little different.

Air-cooled Affair 003 is a special limited-capacity event - 100 spots available at $60 each - in collaboration with air-cooled preservation and maintenance specialist Wayland Motorsports, putting the focus on pre-1999 Porsches. In typical BCR fashion, we’ll have an 80-20 split for this event: 80% air-cooled Porsches, 20% interesting pre-1999 “air-cooled-adjacent” makes/models.*

On Saturday, April 23rd, we’ll meet at 7:30 am for some coffee, pastries from Sonoma Mountain Breads, and a chance to check out Wayland Motorsports with owner Cameron Wayland. At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL groups) 5 minutes apart, for a bracing drive on some of the area’s best roads with a route handpicked by Cameron - the same roads he uses to test his cars. We’ll be done around noon, touching down in West Marin, where you’re free to grab lunch, hang out, or just head on home.

Registration for this event is $60. What does your $60 get you? Only this: a rally decal, parking window cling, and an unforgettable day on Sonoma backroads with a small group of like-minded drivers.

*Examples of “air-cooled-adjacent” cars: non-Porsche air-cooled cars (Corvair, VW Beetle, etc), pre-’99 water-cooled Porsche, Triumph TR6, Datsun 240z, Alfa GT, Lotus Elan, classic Mini, BMW 2002, etc. No post- ’98 cars will be admitted.

Co-drivers welcome: fill out appropriate section of registration form.

Please give the surrounding shops your business and tip well- let’s not be freeloaders.

Don’t make us say “no burnouts.” You’re better than that, right?

The drive begins staging at 9am and will take a max of 3 hrs. Drive at a speed comfortable to you, taking into consideration weather and road conditions, always yield to quicker vehicles, and never pass on a double yellow line.

A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent a week before the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

Roads are pretty smooth the whole way; usual bumps and such, nothing major.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; limited gas stations along the route.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

People live and work in these areas we drive through. Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
