BCR 01.01.2022

Sorry, this event is completely SOLD OUT.

This New Year’s Day, for the second year running, we pay tribute to a Bay Area tradition: the late Martin Swig’s annual Anti-Football Run, which ran for 25 years, ending in 2016. We’re adapting an old A-FR route: starting somewhere in Southern Marin, we’ll shove off on a 115 mile loop through Marin/Sonoma Counties.

Before the rally, we’ll meet at 8am at an undisclosed start point for a little pre-rally social hour; coffee & pastries available from nearby retailers. At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL groups) 5 minutes apart; we’ll be done around noon.

Old and/or interesting cars (& people) of all makes and models are welcome.

Additional info:

This event is free, though contributions are encouraged. It is also “mostly vintage” and “brand-agnostic.” It’s not Euro-only, Vintage-only, or Anything-only. That said, please keep modern car entries to “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, things like that. Post-1999 SUVs/CUVs/trucks/minivans are not eligible.

Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration is valid for a single driver (named in the registration application). If more than 1 driver is desired: (1) submit rally registration (with the info of the primary driver), (2) request an additional driver agreement from compliance@breakfastclubrally.com, and (3) have the other driver sign and submit the agreement for our review and, if thought fit, approval.

Please give the surrounding shops your business and tip well- let’s not be freeloaders.

Don’t make us say “no burnouts.” You’re better than that, right?

The drive begins staging at 9am and will take a max of 3.5 hrs or so. Drive at a speed comfortable to you, taking into consideration weather and road conditions, always yield to quicker vehicles, and never pass on a double yellow line.

A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent a week before the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

Roads are pretty smooth the whole way; usual bumps and such, nothing major.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; limited gas stations along the route.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

People live and work in these areas we drive through. Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
