February’s rally starts in Santa Rosa and heads out to Calistoga via Middletown, a 75 mile run through vineyards and pine forests, deftly hopping over three mountain passes. There’ll be two route options: Sports Route, for most of us; and Rugged Route, for those who aren’t afraid of patchy asphalt and single lane dirt roads.

Before the rally, we’ll meet pre-9am at our start point (masks/face-coverings required, please). At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL groups) 5 minutes apart. As always, we’ll be done by noon, and you’ll be free to grab lunch at one of Calistoga’s great restaurants or just head on home. If you’re looking for a special post-rally experience, we’ve linked up with Tamber Bey Vineyards to offer a picnic lunch.

Old and/or interesting cars (& people) of all makes and models are welcome. Rally decals can be bought in advance from the BCR shop.

Additional info:

This event is free. It is also “mostly vintage” and “brand-agnostic.” It’s not Euro-only, Vintage-only, or Anything-only. That said, please keep modern car entries to “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, things like that.

Facial coverings are required when outside of your car. Please give the surrounding shops your business and tip well- let’s not be freeloaders.

Don’t make us say “no burnouts.” You’re better than that, right?

The drive begins staging at 9am and will take 2.5hrs tops. Feel free to drive at a speed comfortable to you, and always yield to quicker vehicles. We call this a “spirited drive” - responsible people enjoying their cars without endangering the lives and sanity of others.

A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent a week before the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

Roads on the Sports Route option are smooth; the Rugged Route option ends up on some pretty patchy asphalt and a stretch of single lane dirt road, ruts and all, that is best described as “rustic”.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; it’s a long drive with limited gas stations.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
