British Steel

Registration Closed.

The monthly Breakfast Club Rally® will always be free and open to all makes. This is something a little different: Saturday, May 28th at 7am, it’s British Steel, an all-British, mostly-vintage motor rally.

Before the rally, we’ll meet at 7am at an undisclosed start point in Sonoma, CA to hang out and get caffeinated. At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL groups) 5 minutes apart. After 100 miles of amazing Sonoma and Napa backroads, we’ll touch down in West Marin around noon, at which point you can grab lunch, relax and soak up the North Bay vibes, or just head on home.

Tickets are $60 (credit cards only; sorry, PayPal fans). What does your $60 get you? Only this: a parking sticker, an email with starting time, location, and route directions, and an amazing morning out on Northern California’s best backroads with a pack of like-minded drivers.

What cars are eligible?
Any pre-1999 British-made car, truck, utility vehicle, or van; also “partially-British cars,” such as the Isuzu Impulse or Shelby Cobra. Certain post-1999 cars are also welcome to apply- specifically, “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, etc. Post-1999 SUVs/CUVs/trucks/minivans are not eligible, nor are 2000+ Minis.

All applications are subject to review and approval by BCR; in the case your application is not accepted, your ticket fee will be refunded. If in doubt if your car is eligible, check with us first.

Additional info:

The registration fee for this event is $60 per vehicle. Should your application be accepted by BCR, there are no refunds; before you click “Purchase Ticket," triple-check that you are available on the date in question and that your car is in working mechanical order for the drive.

This event is rain or shine.

Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration is valid for a single driver (the one named in the registration application). Co-Drivers welcome. You'll be able to designate a Co-Driver in your application. Your Co-Driver will be sent a link via email to complete a Co-Driver Agreement. Co-Drivers will also receive rally communiqués.

Don’t make us say “no burnouts.” You’re better than that, right?

The drive begins staging at 9am and will take 2-3 hrs, beginning in Sonoma, ending in West Marin. Please drive at speeds comfortable to you, yield to quicker vehicles, and never cross solid double-yellow lines to pass another car.

A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent a week before the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

Roads on the route are pretty good; usual bumps and such, nothing unusual.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; it’s a long drive with limited gas stations.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
