SATURDAY, AUGUST 17, 2024.

Location TBD, Carmel, CA.

Free to apply with another 2024 BCR rally; $50 if accepted.

Gates 7:30am, event 8am.

BCR’s August rally will once again be part of the constellation of automotive events known as Monterey Car Week. Note that for BCR x MCW 2024, we’ll be handpicking participating cars to make sure we hit all the notes of that perfect ‘BCR mix’- old & new, fancy & scruffy, foreign & domestic, exotic & kinda mundane. Only 100 cars will be selected - eighty 1999 & earlier cars, twenty 2000 & later cars. We'll let you know on or before Saturday, July 20 whether your car has been awarded a slot. If accepted, you’ll be asked to submit a $50 non-refundable registration fee within 24 hours to complete your registration for the event.

Meet at an undisclosed location in Carmel, CA for a little pre-rally social hour. At 9am, leave in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL) 5 minutes apart for an ~100 mile drive, done by noon.

What does your $50 get you? Only this: a parking pass, rally decal, a PDF with rally info and route directions, a Google Map and downloadable .kml file, and an amazing morning out on Northern California's best backroads with a crüe of like-minded drivers.

Additional details to come as the date approaches.

Additional info:

Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration is valid for a single driver (named in the registration application).

Co-drivers (18 or over) who deliver a co-driver agreement , navigators, and passengers welcome.

A $50 fee is charged for registration if your vehicle is chosen to participate in BCR x MCW 2024. Registration is per vehicle  -  not per person. Share the good times; feel free to bring as many people as your car can safely seat.

A link to download the Rally Info Packet (with start/end location info and turn-by-turn directions) will be sent the week of the drive. Read it. Learn it. Know it. Live it. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

This is a private event. We don’t view you or your car as an attraction - no spectators are permitted at start points.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; limited gas stations along the route.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

The drive begins staging at 9am and takes roughly 3 hrs. Drive within posted limits, taking into consideration weather and road conditions, always yield to quicker vehicles, and never pass on a double yellow line.

Roads are generally pretty smooth; usual bumps and such, nothing major.

People live and work in these areas we drive through. Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
