Blacktop Friday
SOLD OUT- thank you.
Let’s try something different.
The BCR Monthly Rally will always be free. But we’re going to start arranging special events that offer something a little extra, and here’s our first one.
This Black Friday, November 27th at 8am, we’re driving some of our favorite North Bay roads, and we figured a couple of you might want to join us. This’ll be a bit different from your usual Breakfast Club Rally- no cars & coffee, a much smaller group, and more challenging roads- including a 20 mile stretch of single lane backroads that’ll make you feel like you’re hundreds of miles from civilization. And the beauty of it all? You’ll still be done by noon.
All interesting vehicles are welcome; note that some of the roads are tight, technical, uneven in spots, and there are a couple of very short stretches of gravel. Unless your car is super-slammed, most vintage vehicles will have no problem with this route- if you’re driving a concours-level restoration, though, you may want to sit this one out.
We’re charging $25 for this event. What does your $25 get you? Not much. An email with starting time & location (somewhere in Santa Rosa, CA), a printed map and rally decal on arrival, and an unforgettable day out on Northern California’s best backroads with a small group of like-minded drivers.
Additional info:
Registration for this event is $25. It is “mostly vintage” and “brand-agnostic.” It’s not Euro-only, Vintage-only, or Anything-only. That said, please keep modern car entries to “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, things like that.
Facial coverings are required when outside of your car.
The drive begins 8am in Santa Rosa, CA and will take 2.5hrs tops, ending in Cloverdale. Feel free to drive at a speed comfortable to you, and always yield to quicker vehicles. We call this a “spirited drive” - responsible people enjoying their cars without endangering the lives and sanity of others.
A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent before the drive. We’ll also supply printed directions at the event.
This drive is for slightly more hardy drivers and their cars- there are bumps, there is gravel, there are puddles, there is dirt.
Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; it’s a long drive with limited gas stations.
Cell reception unavailable in some areas.
Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
