Blacktop Friday 2022
November 25th at 8am, it’s Blacktop Friday 2022.
What’s Blacktop Friday? It’s our smallest, purest, lowest-frills event, and for BTF 2022, its 3rd year, we’re packing in a solid 3 hours of backroad twisties across Wine Country and beyond. Note that the route’s a little longer than the $FREE monthly Breakfast Club Rallies, covering some of the most amazing (and recently repaved) roads on a snaking path from Calistoga to Yountville. You say you like to drive? You’ll dig this, for real.
Before the rally, we’ll meet at 8am at an undisclosed start point in Calistoga. At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL groups) 5 minutes apart. We’ll be done by 1pm, at which point you can grab lunch in Yountville, go wine/beer-tasting, shop small businesses, or just head on home.
Tickets are $35. What does your $35 get you? Only this: an email with rally info, a parking pass (via USPS), and an amazing morning out on Northern California’s best backroads with a small crüe of like-minded drivers.
This event is completely sold out.

Additional info:
The registration fee for this event is $35 per vehicle. Once your application is accepted by BCR, there are no refunds; before you click “Purchase Ticket," triple-check that you are available on the date in question and that your car is in working mechanical order for the drive.
Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration is valid for a single driver (named in the registration application).
Co-drivers welcome: fill out appropriate section of registration form.
BCR has a strict “No Suitcasing” policy: this is a drive, not a marketing opportunity. Leave your logos, leaflets, FOR SALE signs, stickers, business cards, flyers, and branded trinkets at home.
A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent the week of the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.
The drive begins staging at 9am and will take about 3.5 hrs. Drive at a speed comfortable to you, taking into consideration weather and road conditions, always yield to quicker vehicles, and never pass on a double yellow line.
Roads are pretty smooth the whole way; usual bumps and such, nothing major.
Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; limited gas stations along the route.
Cell reception unavailable in some areas.
People live and work in these areas we drive through. Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
