BCR 11.14.2020
November’s run starts in Sebastopol (rain or shine) and heads out to Fairfax via Tomales and Olema, with a couple of unexpected detours to shake things up a bit. Vineyards, redwoods, coastal views: this is 65 miles total of some of Sonoma & Marin County’s most scenic and bracing roads. Before the rally, we’ll meet at 8am at our start point for a little cars & coffee action (masks/face-coverings required, please). At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL groups) 5 minutes apart. As always, we’ll be done by noon, and you’ll be free to grab lunch at one of Fairfax’s awesome restaurants, hit a cafe or brewery, or head home.
Old and/or interesting cars (& people) of all makes and models are welcome.
Additional info:
This event is free. It is also “mostly vintage” and “brand-agnostic.” It’s not Euro-only, Vintage-only, or Anything-only. That said, please keep modern car entries to “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, things like that.
The cars and coffee portion of this event is from 8-9am; facial coverings are required when outside of your car. Please give the surrounding shops your business and tip well- let’s not be freeloaders.
Don’t make us say “no burnouts.” You’re better than that, right?
The drive begins staging at 9am and will take 2.5hrs tops. Feel free to drive at a speed comfortable to you, and always yield to quicker vehicles. We call this a “spirited drive” - responsible people enjoying their cars without endangering the lives and sanity of others.
A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent a week before the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.
Roads are pretty smooth- a few of the usual bumps and potholes, but nothing alarming.
Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; it’s a long drive with limited gas stations.
Cell reception unavailable in some areas.
Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
