SOLD OUT.

Huge thanks to Sonoma County Fire District Battalion Chief Jeff Lemelin for taking the time to meet with us and help redraw our September rally route to cause zero interference with the LNU Lightning Complex firefighting efforts. As you may know, these fires have burned part of the route we had originally planned for this month. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Chief Lemelin’s Station, as they are in need of supplies and equipment.

This month's run starts in Santa Rosa and heads out to Petaluma via Franz Valley Road, Saint Helena, and Oakville Grade. Before the rally, we’ll meet at 8am at our start point for a little cars & coffee action (masks/face-coverings required, please). At 9:05am, we take off on our drive through pine-dotted mountain roads, rolling farm land, and miles and miles of… grapes. As always, we’ll be done by noon, and you’ll be free to grab lunch at one of Petaluma’s great restaurants or hit a winery or brewery. Old and/or interesting cars (& people) of all makes and models are welcome.

Additional info:

This event is free. It is also “mostly vintage” and “brand-agnostic.” It’s not Euro-only, Vintage-only, or Anything-only. That said, please keep modern car entries to “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, things like that.

The cars and coffee portion of this event is from 8-9am; facial coverings are required when outside of your car. Please give the surrounding shops your business and tip well- let’s not be freeloaders.

Don’t make us say “no burnouts.” You’re better than that, right?

The drive begins staging at 9:05am and will take 2.5hrs tops, ending in Petaluma. This is not a “cruise.” Sorry, Peggy Sue. We call this a “spirited drive” - responsible people enjoying their cars at speed without endangering the lives and sanity of others.

A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent a week before the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

Roads are pretty smooth- a few of the usual bumps and potholes, but nothing alarming.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; it’s a long drive with limited gas stations.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

If cross traffic begins to build up due to the size of our group, please give plenty of warning; use hazards, stop and wave other cars through.

A gap may open up between you and the car behind; if so, wait at all major intersections for the car to catch up.

If you need assistance, wave down one of our group as they pass. If you are stopped and you do not need assistance, give a thumbs up.

Be cautious of cyclists and pedestrians. Pass with a minimum of 3' between you and a cyclist. On most of the roads, that means entering the oncoming lane.

Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
