BCR 11.11.2023

This month’s route jams in 100 incredible miles of mountain, valley and canyon curves from Calistoga to Calistoga via St. Helena. From start to finish, this one’ll be a stunner.

On Saturday, November 11th, 2023 at 8am, we’ll meet at an undisclosed start point in Calistoga, California for a little pre-rally social hour. At 9am, we’ll take off in 3 groups (HARE, TORTOISE, and SNAIL) 5 minutes apart; we’ll be done around 12pm, touching down in Calistoga.

Old and/or interesting cars (& people) of most makes and models are welcome; see exceptions listed below. 80% of the rally will be vintage vehicles, and the remaining 20% will be modern vehicles.

SPOTS FOR MODERN (2000 & LATER) CARS ARE SOLD OUT 〰️

Open Registration: how to register.

1. Make sure you & your car can attend the rally on the given date & time, rain or shine; our start location has limited parking- those who claim a registration spot and no-show will leave a blank parking spot where an awesome car is supposed to be. Let’s avoid that.

2. Register for this rally with your vintage (1999 & earlier) car by completing the form below.

1999 & EARLIER CAR APPLICATIONS- upon sending your application, you’ll receive email confirmation that your submission was received. Within approx. 48 hours, watch for another email informing you whether you’ve been awarded a spot in the rally.

2000 & NEWER CAR APPLICATIONS. We usually receive more qualified modern car applications than we can accommodate (we maintain a 80% vintage - 20% modern ratio). Watch your email to learn whether you snagged a spot or not.

WHAT’S ELIGIBLE? All pre-2000 vehicles are welcome; 2000 and newer car entries are limited to “enthusiast” models and other “interesting“ vehicles- sports cars, low production runs, unusual/exotic marques, grey market imports, backyard-modded enthusiast projects, things like that. Motorcycles and post-1999 SUVs/CUVs/trucks/minivans are NOT eligible. If in doubt your vehicle qualifies, click here before submitting an application.

Register here.

Additional info:

Drivers must be at least 18 years old. Registration is valid for a single driver (named in the registration application).

Co-drivers (18 or over) who deliver a co-driver agreement , navigators, and passengers welcome.

During the Pre-Registration period, a $50 fee is charged for registration; this fee will be refunded in full if your vehicle is not accepted.

During the Open Registration period, this event is on a ‘pay what you want’ system - you’ll have the opportunity to include a payment with your registration application; it will be refunded in full if your vehicle is not accepted. Note: payment levels may be one of many factors in our consideration of your application.

During the Late Registration period, only applications for 1999 and earlier vehicles will be accepted with a donation of $50 to our chosen animal/community non-profit for that month.

The drive begins staging at 9am and takes roughly 3 hrs. Drive within posted limits, taking into consideration weather and road conditions, always yield to quicker vehicles, and never pass on a double yellow line.

A link to download turn-by-turn directions will be sent the week of the drive. Read them. Learn them. Know them. Live them. Don’t rely on the person in front of you to know where they’re going- they don’t.

Roads are generally pretty smooth; usual bumps and such, nothing major.

Gas up prior to arriving at the starting location; limited gas stations along the route.

Cell reception unavailable in some areas.

People live and work in these areas we drive through. Be courteous to business owners, employees, homeowners, ranchers, cyclists, pedestrians, pets and livestock you encounter- let’s keep BCR welcome in the area.
